Pembrokeshire Holiday Cottages - Long Course Weekend 2019

The Long Course Weekend is a fantastic sporting event which takes place in the popular seaside town of Tenby each July. Covering all the disciplines of a triathlon, the event takes place over three days, with the option to take part in the full Long Course Weekend event or to enter individual events. The swim and cycle events use the same course as Ironman Wales so this is a perfect opportunity to get a feel of area and routes for those coming back in September for Ironman.

There is something for all ages and levels of athletes at the Long Course Weekend, including the TAFFKids swim and run event for 4-11 year olds and the Junior Long Course Weekend for 11-17 year olds (1.2 mile swim/42 mile bike/10k run).

The weekend kicks off at Tenby North Beach on the Friday evening with the TAFFKids event at around 5pm, before The Wales Swim at 7pm. The Wales Sportive on Saturday morning sees the cyclists setting off from the Salterns car park in Tenby - a choice of 112 mile, 66 mile or 42 mile events. Sunday then sees the Wales Marathon kicking off from Pembroke and working back to Tenby picking up the other run events along the way, before reaching the finish line in Tenby’s Tudor Square.
