Spend your bird watching holiday near East Angle Bay. This quiet beach in the Pembrokeshire National Park is surrounded by mud flats and is near the mouth of the Cleddau Estuary. It attracts a variety of birds including oystercatchers, redshanks, teal and plover all of which can be seen feeding at low tide. East Angle Bay is a contrast to the busier West Angle bay which sits on the other side of the charming village of Angle. Now preserved as a National Park conservation area Angle is an old seafaring village with picturesque welsh cottages. Featured in the Telegraph as a pub to be prized The Old Point House Inn is an old drinking house still popular today. They sell traditional welsh ale and also cook and serve fresh fish caught from the bay. This family run pub is sometimes cut off by the tide in Spring due to its location right on the point of East Angle Bay but if you are on holiday in Angle then this affordable and popular pub is well worth a visit.
The beach itself is popular for canoeing and sailing and has a slipway for easy launches. There is roadside parking by the beach but all other amenities are available in Angle Village. If you are walking the Wales coastal path then you can reach East Angle Bay by using the Coastal Cruiser. Pick up can be in Angle village or on near by West Angle Bay.
