Church Doors Cove Beach
Church Doors Cove Beach is located on the south coast of Pembrokeshire, Wales. FBM Holidays has a fine range of Pembrokeshire Cottages to let in this area, so if you are looking for Holiday cottages, dog friendly cottages, holiday apartments or coastal cottages in Pembrokeshire then check out our availability now.
Church Doors Cove (between Lydstep and Manorbier) is a small golden sanded treasure of a beach on the other side of a magnificent divided break in the rocks. The cliffs part like church doors and the cove is surrounded by caves. The cove can only be reached at low tide from the coastal path so it is a place for friends rather than families. Visit Church Doors Cove if you want somewhere unusual to stroll on your romantic weekend away. Marvel at the amazing cliff faces and caves. For a walking holiday in Wales be sure to include this National Trust trail from Lydstep Head. Follow it to explore the caverns and cliffs of Church Doors Cove.
Lydstep is a popular tourist resort in this part of Pembrokeshire and has a lot to offer. You can also take advantage (for a small charge) of the sauna, gym, or golf course available at the Haven holiday village. Be sure to look out for the ruined Lydstep Palace, the remains of a medieval house in the village. The beach is a good holiday beach and is popular with families and groups of friends. There are often water sports taking place on the water so do take care if swimming. Toilets can be found in the village that over looks the bay. The beach is also popular with sea angling enthusiasts in the early morning. It is a blue flag beach with soft sand. The water at Church Doors Cove is equally clear.
Nea by, Manorbier is an old village with a Medieval Castle that opens its doors during the summer months for visitors to explore either the gardens or castle rooms. A small admission charge makes it an affordable day out.
