This property has a fantastic location next to the promenade in Mumbles, a pretty seaside town just 5 miles south of Swansea that marks the beginning of the Gower Peninsula coastline. Attractions include the 18th-century lighthouse on Mumbles Head and the 12th-century Oystermouth Castle, set on a small hill with magnificent views over Swansea Bay. Those after retail therapy will find a range of boutiques and high-end shops in town, there are restaurants and pubs aplenty and the Lovespoon Gallery is well worth a visit to see fine examples of the carved wooden spoons traditional to Wales. Langland Bay (3 miles) has a sheltered beach popular with families and water sports enthusiasts, and you can walk the coastal path to the neighbouring beaches of Rotherslade, Limeslade and Caswell.
The cottage is accessed via 15 stone steps to the front door. The cosy living area includes books and games along with a TV and a little dining table for two. The kitchen has all you need to cater for yourselves and there’s a convenient cloakroom with WC. The bedroom is accessed up a steep cottage-style staircase and has a double bed and built-in wardrobe, and a bathroom with a bath and shower cubicle.
The property has a small terrace leading off the kitchen with garden furniture and a partial sea view.
